The worldwide microsystems market represents a volume of 11,5 billion dollars with an average annual growth rate of 16%. The key reason for this growth is that the ongoing dynamic developments in microsystems form the basis of innovations for many branches such as automotives and mechanical engineering, telecommunications and computer industry, medical technology and life sciences or transport and logistics.

With this in mind, Bayern Innovativ – as project coordinator of BAIKEM (International Bavarian Initiative for Innovation and Cooperation in Electronics/Microtechnology) – is planning and organising the “Trends in Microsystems” congress in Munich together with NEXUS, the European Microsystems network based in Grenoble, and the support of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.

Internationally renowned speakers from industry and science will reveal trends in technologies and devices, will cover customer expectations from various branches and will outline new market opportunities.

Technical sessions will disclose state-of-the-art microsystem technology and trend-setting concepts from industry and science in the areas of smart sensors, innovative actuators, and system solutions for analytics, diagnostics or mobile energy supply.

The accompanying exhibition will present examples of the latest developments in these fields.

We cordially invite you to the congress and look forward to welcoming you in Munich.
