Microsystems such as micro electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) contribute essentially to miniaturisation, performance and the market success of innovative products in a wide range of branches. These range from automotives to telecommunications, from life sciences and medical engineering to automation and manufacturing.
These innovations result from the integration of micro-fabrication, classical semiconductor technology, mechanics, micro fluidics, material sciences, optics, nano-technology and software for smart systems.
Therefore cooperations, both technology driven and custumer oriented, are essential factors required to stay ahead with cutting edge solutions. As a consequence of the world-wide dynamics in technologies and markets, companies are always striving for the best and most suitable partners from science and industry.
With this in mind Bayern Innovativ GmbH, as project coordinator of BAIKEM developed the concept of international One-on-One cooperation platforms with professionally organised business meetings. International recognition of this regular matching event that was launched in 2001, has always been highly positive with continuous growth. For example in 2004 more than 650 meetings were arranged for approximately 150 companies from 13 countries. Over 50 percent of the meetings were rated by the participants as successful with regard to future cooperations.
Bayern Innovativ will arrange the BAIKEM One-on-One event in 2006 for the fourth time. This cooperation event will once again be held jointly with NEXUS, the European Microsystems Network and with the support of the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.
For the first time the One-on-One platform will be preceeded by a congress focusing on trends in microsystems.
More than 30 partner organisations will support the acquisition of participants with a focus on Europe and Asia.
We look forward to welcoming you in Munich.
