Logistics is no longer the classical transporting and storing business – It also comprises integrated planning, processing and control of the entire flow of materials and goods with the corresponding information flow. Logistics starts with sales planning, plays a key role in production and results in the delivery of goods to the customer, the disposal of waste as well as in recycling. Nowadays, essential components in almost all fields of Logistics are software and hardware applications, starting from navigation to simulation.

As a member of the new Enterprise Europe Network, the EU Cooperation Unit of Bayern Innovativ is in charge of promoting and supporting technology partnerships and transfer. For these reasons, the EU Cooperation Unit organises the “European Brokerage Event on Transport and Logistics”,
which will be strongly supported by the Cluster Logistic and the Sector Group “Automotive, Transport and Logistic” of the Enterprise Europe Network.

This event will take place during transport logistic 2009, the 12th International Trade Fair for Logistics, Telematic and Transport in Munich.

Participants have the chance to discuss potential business cooperations in bilateral 30-minute meetings. The basis for the meeting schedules is an online catalogue containing the competence profiles and cooperation interests of each participating organisation. By means of this catalogue, the participants have the chance early in advance to choose their meeting-partners according to their interests.These meetings aim at initiating technology cooperations – such as licensing agreements, joint ventures, commercial agreements with technical assistance, manufacturing agreements, European research projects or other technical cooperations.
