Organic solar cells, based on conjugated polymers and molecules, are promising candidates for efficient and competitively priced photovoltaic applications. So far, they have reached energy conversion efficiencies of nearly 8 percent. Well-engineered printing technologies in combination with roll-to-roll processing shall enable large-scale cost-efficient production of PV-active films in the future. The step towards industrial assembly is imminent. Further development measures are needed.
In light of this, Bayern Innovativ GmbH - responsible for the Bavarian Energy Forum and the management of the Cluster Energy Technology - and the Bavarian Centre for Applied Energy Research (ZAE Bayern) jointly organize the international conference "Organic Photovoltaics" in Würzburg, Germany with special support from the State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology.
The objective of the international conference "Organic Photovoltaics (OPV)" is the comprehensive presentation of the current status and future research and development activities. Experts from industry and science will discuss topics such as fundamentals of OPV, technological requirements regarding different base materials, manufacturing technologies and application-oriented implementation. The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition and a poster session.
The conference offers an excellent opportunity to get informed about latest developments and current projects and to exchange experience with other experts in order to initiate new projects in the growing market of organic photovoltaics.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Würzburg.
