210 participants from 6 countries attended the Cooperation Forum "Cell-based Therapies" at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen- Nürnberg.
Experts from industry and academia presented:
- Stemcell-based approaches for neurodegenerative diseases and cancer
- Technology platforms for isolation, propagation and production of cell-based therapeutics
- Bioengineering and Automation technologies
- Clinical applications in immunotherapy and cell transplantation
- Approval, safety assessment and regulatory issues of cell-based therapeutics
On the preceding day to the conference (26th March 2012), participants had the opportunity to visit hybridimaging technologies (MR-PET) for clinical applications at the Institute of Medical Physics as well as to take part in a company visit of Siemens AG showing the production of Magnetic Resonance tomography devices.
